About

Buck Spencer is a self-taught wildlife artist from Junction City, Oregon. He started with pencil then transitioned into painting. Acrylic paint is his preferred medium.

His father worked for Wildlife Service's most of his life, inspiring him to start studying and drawing animals at a very young age. His older brother is a Wildlife Biologist and Outdoor Writer, so his family very passionate about wildlife culture. This in turn inspires and motivates him while completing his wildlife paintings.

He had previously worked in the oil field industry that allowed him the unique opportunities to travel from the frozen prairies of North Dakota to the everglades of Florida observing the diverse wildlife species and habitats along the way.

Aside from painting, Buck enjoys fishing, hunting and wildlife photography.
